2023 Jetour X70 7-seat SUV begins at PHP 1.099M

What can you get for less than PHP 1.1 million? Jetour Auto Philippines says it can land you an affordable yet features-packed 7-seater crossover SUV.

Aside from the X70 Plus, Dashing, and Ice Cream EV, the automaker has also revealed the 2023 X70. Slotting below the aforementioned X70 Plus, this particular version serves as the brand’s most affordable crossover SUV while still offering plenty of features, as well as three rows of seats.

Compared to the X70 Plus which features a more striking and sporty design, the X70 Sport has a more subdued yet still eye-catching design. The front fascia appears to have been inspired by Mazda and Subaru with its unique grille, distinct LED headlights, and cube-like LED foglights. The rear, meanwhile, appears to be reminiscent of the pre-facelift GAC GS4 with its wraparound LED taillights and tailgate design. Finally, it gets faux rear vents, dual exhausts, and a choice of 18- and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Size-wise, the 7-seat crossover SUV measures 4720mm long, 1900mm wide, and 1695mm tall. Its wheelbase comes in at 2745mm while ground clearance is rated at 210mm. When it comes to luggage capacity, the vehicle has a maximum cargo capacity of 1,260 liters with both the second and third-row seats down.

Inside, high-grade models come with a full brown leather interior, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, contrast stitching on the dashboard/center console/seats, and generous amounts of piano black trim.

The X70 Sport also gets a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster, push-button start, an electronic parking brake, heated and cooled front seats, and the aforementioned third-row seats.

Like its internal combustion stablemates, the X70 Sport is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It makes 156 PS at 5500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque between 1750 to 4000 rpm. Unlike most of the other crossovers which make use of a dual-clutch transmission, the X70 Sport sticks to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
